Huawei Band 7: Ultra-thin design with a new level of comfort!

Smartwatches have become an integral part of our lives. The major drawback is that the Battery life is relatively short. If you need longer battery life, smart bands from different manufacturers are a good choice. Here we have such a device, the Huawei Band 7.

DESIGN

On the design side, Huawei Band 7 is available in four colors: Obsidian Black, Nebula Powder, Wild Green and Flame Red, with fiberglass reinforced polymer shell that adds a delicate metallic texture.

Having used the previous Huawei Band 6, I can tell that the Huawei Band 7 design is lighter and thinner. The thickness of the whole body is only 9.99 mm. The sensation when wearing the Huawei Band 7 is that it fits snugly on your wrist. It has an almost insensitive comfort. It is very comfortable and the wearing experience is still excellent.

The HUAWEI Band 7 is equipped with AMOLED color display bringing a high-definition visual experience. HUAWEI Band 7 has its UI improved for larger numbers, larger icons, and a more intuitive experience, bringing users a more impressive visual experience. The HUAWEI Band 7 uses bright colors, micro gradients and simple graphics to highlight, important information and bring users larger numbers, larger icons and a more intuitive experience.

FEATURES

In terms of features, the Huawei Band 7 is almost the same as Band 6 except for the display upgrade. Huawei Band 7 supports many health monitoring functions such as sleep health, blood oxygen monitoring, pressure monitoring, and heart health just to name a few.

HUAWEI Band 7 includes Huawei’s unique HUAWEI TruSport ™ algorithm, which measures the training index of all runners from a scientific and quantitative perspective.

You can use the fitness tracker to monitor your sleep and heart rate through a series of sensors on the back. In addition, you can choose from 96 sport modes, including outdoor swimming and cycling. Huawei’s new tracker has a 5ATM rating that means it can withstand depths of up to 50 meters.

Huawei Band 7 also features the newly upgraded HUAWEI TruSeen 4.0 heart rate monitoring technology, providing users with continuous, fast and accurate heart rate monitoring capabilities to help them manage their heart health in real time.

According to HUAWEI, the battery life of the new fitness band is up to 14 days under normal use. It may be less if you enabled the always-on screen feature. Fortunately, fast charging is supported and you can use it for 2 days with a 5 minute charge. As for the review unit we have, I can definitely say it does last close to 14 days given that I tend to fiddle with the screen when I’m just sitting in the office in my free time.

VERDICT

“The Huawei Band 7 looks to be an incremental upgrade on its predecessor for the most part. Like the Band 6, the Huawei Band 7 offers 96 sports modes. Heart rate monitoring is present, of course, courtesy of Huawei’s TruSeen 4.0 technology.

The Band 7 is definitely thinner and lighter than the Band 6 resulting in a more featherlike and comfortable wear experience. Plus, the band 7 has an added feature of having AOD is also nice to have” – ( Rachelle P. ) Techg3 Tech reviewer.
