Infinix Philippines, one of the top tech brands in the country, made history after winning two awards at the 2024 Stevies International Business Awards (IBA) for the first time. It received a Gold award under the eSports event category for the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang “Guard Your Goddess Miya” (GYGM) Tournament, and Bronze award for Most Innovative TikTok Channel for the Infinix 24/7 Online TikTok Shop.
Considered the “Oscars of business,” the Stevies IBA recognizes the achievements and positive contributions of organizations worldwide. The award-giving body acknowledged Infinix’s innovations in the field of eSports and digital commerce.
“We are grateful to have been given the prestigious honor of receiving Gold and Bronze awards from the international Stevies. The recognition has ignited a fire in us to continue providing the best quality products and experiences for our ever-supportive Xfans,” said Charisma Buan, Senior Public Relations Manager.
Supporting eSports players’ dreams with Guard Your Goddess Miya
Infinix Philippines is committed to supporting the dreams of aspiring and veteran eSports players. This is further emphasized with their partnership with Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), the most popular mobile game in the country. The award-winning Guard Your Goddess Miya (GYGM) Tournament aimed to engage the local gaming community to cheer on their favorite MLBB teams, and also to showcase the Infinix NOTE 30 Series’ gaming capabilities, particularly the NOTE 30 5G.
GYGM is a creative take on the usual MLBB match. Participants play regular matches, but they’re required to protect their goddess, aka Miya player. They also have to eliminate the opposing team’s Miya player to earn more points. The participants also got the chance to play with Infinix Chief Gaming Officers (CGOs) Cherizawa, Yskaela, and Kristine.
GYGM was also the first time Infinix Philippines mounted an onground MLBB tournament. It held an online semi-finals broadcasted on Infinix Philippines’ official Facebook page, which culminated in a grand finals at Market! Market!. Three teams battled it out to become the first GYGM champion, with Team Pampamilya coming out on top.
The event not only promoted Infinix NOTE 30 Series’ reliability as a gaming and lifestyle phone, especially for students, it also gave local teams a platform to showcase their skills in MLBB and give them the confidence to reach their eSports dreams.
Innovation in the TikTok commerce space
The award-winning Infinix 24/7 Online TikTok Shop has one goal: make Infinix smartphones more accessible through fun and interactive streams. The brand is known for smartphones with affordable price points, and also capitalizes on different selling channels to reach a wider market.
The 24/7 stream debuted during the first Super Brand Day on TikTok back in 2023, where hosts highlighted the ultra-fast gaming capabilities of the Infinix NOTE 30 Series, as well as discounts and promos it was offering. Infinix Philippines saw massive success in the first 24/7 streams. After just five days, it was able to reach 11 million sales, which was a 25% increase from its regular stream schedule.
Seeing the potential of TikTok Shop streams, Infinix grew its manpower to ensure that 24/7 streams were running smoothly, and tapped a roster of rotating hosts to talk about new products and engage with viewers. Since then, Infinix has continued to dominate the top Live Streaming Brand spot under the Tech category on TikTok.
